Morning Light
September 10, 2001
In the morning hour
Just before the dawn
I lie awake in bed
To think of times to come
Fresh strong coffee perking
In the galley by the stove
Seagulls talking loudly
Sun rising on the cove
Water calm and gentle
Soothes my waking mind
a peaceful rocking cradle
My boat of restful time
Sky of crystal blue
Emerald sea of green
New passion in my heart
For life I've yet to see
Growing waves of pleasure
Catch my glowing glance
No longer of this world
New light has come to pass
Love has gave his blessing
My bride and I are one
We'll sail the sea together
Cruising toward the sun
